Garmin CIRQA Pro: What the Leaks Reveal So Far

Unconfirmed

Garmin has not announced the CIRQA Pro. Everything below comes from app code strings and a regulatory filing, not an official spec sheet.

Garmin's screenless CIRQA Smart Band has only been on wrists for a couple of months, and already the next version is surfacing in the code. A “CIRQA Pro” has been spotted inside the Garmin Connect app, and the details point to a meaningfully upgraded band rather than a simple color refresh.

Nothing here is official yet. Still, the pattern is clear enough to be worth tracking, especially for anyone deciding whether to buy the current CIRQA now or wait.

What's different about the Pro

The base CIRQA is deliberately minimal: one button, no screen, no speaker. The leaked Pro model breaks from that formula with two additions.

  • A second physical button. The original CIRQA uses its single button mostly to start a favorite activity. A second button suggests more on-device control, possibly menu navigation or a dedicated stop/lap function.
  • A built-in speaker. This is the bigger shift. A speaker on a screenless band points to spoken stats — hearing your heart rate, pace, or recovery status read aloud instead of checking an app. That would make CIRQA far more usable mid-workout, since the whole point of the original design was to avoid screens entirely.

Possible new health sensors

Leaked code also hints at sensing capabilities the current CIRQA doesn't have. The most talked-about possibility is a muscle oxygen (SmO2) sensor, which would let CIRQA estimate how efficiently muscles are using oxygen during exercise — a metric currently reserved for higher-end running and cycling watches. Some speculation also points to an upgraded heart rate sensor generation, potentially with ECG capability, and emotional stress tracking layered on top of the existing Body Battery and stress features.

None of these are confirmed. They're reasonable extrapolations from Garmin's broader wearable roadmap and comments from CEO Cliff Pemble about expanding beyond the wrist, not features pulled directly from a spec sheet.

Timing

A regulatory filing in Indonesia is the strongest clue on timing so far, and it points to a launch before the end of the year, with early next year as a fallback. Garmin tends to move quickly once a filing like this surfaces, so a formal announcement could land with little advance notice.

Should you wait for it?

If spoken stats or a muscle oxygen sensor would genuinely change how you train, waiting makes sense — those are real upgrades, not marginal ones. If you just want a subscription-free, screenless band for everyday recovery tracking, the current CIRQA already covers that ground well and there's no confirmed timeline to hold out for.
